Purchase of Goods
- You warrant that you are over the age of 16 years old
- You place the order for Your Products on the website by pressing the confirm order button at the end of the check-out process. You will be guided through the process of placing an order by a series of simple instructions on the website.
- We will send to You an order acknowledgement email detailing the products You have ordered. This is not an order confirmation or order acceptance from Us.
- When Your product is shipped from our warehouse We will send you a despatch confirmation email.
- You acknowledge that any automated acknowledgement of Your order which You may receive from Us shall not amount to Our acceptance of Your offer to purchase Goods. Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between You and Us will take place on the dispatch to you of the Products ordered or when We debit Your credit or debit card, whichever is the earlier.
- As part of the purchasing process, you have the option to register on the GB Site. You must choose a username and password on completion of registration. You are responsible for all actions taken under that username and password and shall only use the Site under your own username and password.
- You warrant that the Information which You are required to provide when You make an offer to buy Goods is true, accurate, current and complete in all respects.
- All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer and We may share Your personal information with such third parties as are necessary to enable Us to do such checks. If the issuer of Your payment card refuses to authorise payment to Us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery
Transfer of Ownership and risk in Goods
- Transfer of title (ownership) shall pass to you when the goods have been delivered to the delivery address detailed on your order and payment for the goods has been received in full by Us.
- Risk in the goods shall pass to you when the goods have been delivered to the delivery address detailed on your order. In the event of goods being returned, the risk in the goods will return to Us when the goods being returned are received by Us.
Goods in Stock
GB will commit to using our best endeavours to satisfy all Orders. If the Goods you have ordered are not available, we will give you the option of receiving a replacement, waiting for item to come into stock, or a full refund. If we receive no direction from you, we may provide replacement Goods of a corresponding quality and/or specification or cancel the Order and provide a refund, at our discretion.
Guarantee
GB offer a 28 day return to base Guarantee on all Low Energy bulbs. If a bulb fails during this period simply return it to us and we will replace it with one of equal or better performance. All Guarantees start from the date of purchase.
Delivery
- We aim to deliver all orders within 6 working days and in any event attempt to despatch all Orders within 2 working days of receiving them, but allow up to a maximum of 28 days for delivery.
- When certain Goods are not in stock and you chose to delay shipment or part ship, should delivery become overdue by more than 28 days, you are entitled to a full refund of any payments made for the undelivered items.
Tax Charges
VAT at the standard rate of 21.5% is added to all Orders made from Ireland or the European Union. Orders made from outside the UK or EU are exempt from VAT.
Orders from VAT registered companies in the UK are supplied VAT free
Returns
Standard return procedure
- Prior to any returns, you must contact us by e-mail on CustomerService@GB or write to the Great Bulbs Web Returns department, address below. We will issue all approved returns with a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN). The RAN will be e-mailed by return and include information on how to return the Goods and where to send them to. We may refuse any returns that do not have a valid RAN.

Private Consumers
- If you are a private consumer you may cancel your purchase at any time within 7 working days from the day after receipt of the Goods without incurring any obligation or liability to us. Provided that you follow the returns procedure detailed above, and that the goods are received by us properly packaged in good condition and as they were when delivered to you, having not been used, and returned at your cost by sending it special delivery to Great Bulbs Web Returns (address above) you are entitled to a full refund. If you do not return the Goods to us in accordance with this Agreement, you must make the Goods available for collection and we may charge you the direct commercial costs that we incur to collect them.
- If, after notifying us of your intention to cancel you have failed to return your Goods to Us by sending them to the Great Bulbs Web Returns address within 21 days, or you fail to make them available for collection if collection had been agreed, you hereby irrevocably agree to pay GB the retail price of the Goods and you authorise us to take this amount from your credit or debit card or through such other means as we may require. In the event that you have failed to make them available for collection as requested, you also accept liability for the direct cost incurred by us in attempting to retrieve the goods.
- If you cancel your contract, subject to the goods having being returned in accordance to our returns policy, we will refund the monies you have paid to us within 30 days of you giving notice under the relevant contract.
Damaged Goods / Wrong goods
In the event that we dispatch damaged goods or the wrong goods to you, GB will offer you a replacement or refund. You must advise us of the problem within 7 days of reciept of the Goods and use the standard returns proceedure detailed above.
Goods ordered in error
Should GB agree to replace goods ordered in error, the goods must be returned unused in their original wrapping with post and insurance at your expense. Replacement goods will incur a delivery charge irrespective of whether the original order availed of free delivery. If large quantities are returned We reserve the right to impose a restocking charge. Goods being returned must use the Standard Return Proceedure described above
Your Personal Information
- We respect your personal information and undertake to comply with applicable Data Protection legislation in place from time to time.
- We may hold information that you provide to us and may share Your Information within the organisation. In the event that we undergo re-organisation or are sold to a third party you agree that Your Information may be transferred to that re-organised entity or third party for the purposes and subject to the terms of this Agreement.
- Your Information may be held and used to processing your orders or applications; administering your account and billing; disclosing your data to bank and debit and credit card companies to validate your debit or credit card details; dealing with requests, enquiries or complaints and other customer care related activities; debt recovery (also using recovery agents and agents facilitating to contact you) and legal actions and all other general administrative and business purposes or; to carrying out market and product analysis to develop and improve products and services or ; carrying out any activity or disclosure in connection with a legal, governmental or regulatory requirement on us or in connection with legal proceedings, and for the prevention and detection of crime or fraud and the prosecution of offenders or suspected offenders.
General
- While We will use reasonable endeavours to verify the accuracy of any information We place on the Website, We make no warranties, whether express or implied in relation to its accuracy.
- We make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, in relation to the Website, or any transaction that may be conducted on or through the Website, or in relation to the Goods including but not limited to, implied warranties of satisfactory quality, or fitness for a particular purpose. In addition, GB does not warrant or represent that the information available via this site is current, complete or accurate.
- Notwithstanding any other provision in the Conditions, nothing herein shall limit Your rights as a consumer under EU and Irish law.
- In the event of action taken by you against GB, GB’s liability is limited to a value that will not exceed the value of the individual sale that is the subject of such action.
- The Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Irish law and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
Complaints
Complaints should be made in writing and addressed to the Managing Director, Great Bulbs, 43 Eastlink Businee Park, Ballysimon Road, Limerick, Ireland.
Severance
If any part of the Conditions shall be deemed unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed to be severable from these Conditions and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any of the remaining provisions of the Conditions.
Force Majeure
GB shall not be liable for failure to comply with these Conditions owing to any act or event beyond its control including but not limited to Acts of God, industrial action, civil commotion, strikes, shortage of supplies, war, natural disasters, riots, lock-outs, disease or fire.
Entire Agreement
These Conditions (as amended from time to time) contain the entire agreement between You and GB relating to the subject matter covered and supersedes any previous agreements, arrangements, undertakings, representations or proposals, written or oral, between You and GB in relation to such matters. You confirm that You have read these conditions and, You fully understand them and You also agree that these conditions are the only terms that rule Your relationship with us.
